Global Finance has announced the winners of its 26th annual World’s Best Investment Banks Awards, naming BofA Securities as the Best Investment Bank in the World for 2025. The prestigious list will be featured in the April 2025 print and digital editions of Global Finance, with additional coverage online at GFMag.com.
Despite challenges in the global market—including high interest rates, ongoing regulatory scrutiny, and geopolitical uncertainties—Global Finance highlights that investment banking remains resilient. “The sector continues to demonstrate strength, though it faces several headwinds that influence deal-making,” said Joseph D. Giarraputo, founder and editorial director of Global Finance. “Notably, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activity is showing signs of recovery, and growth in advisory services and capital markets is particularly noticeable in technology and renewable energy sectors.”
The World’s Best Investment Bank Awards for 2025 will be presented at a ceremony held on May 13, 2025, at Searcy’s at The Gherkin in London, as part of Global Finance’s Investment Bank and Sustainable Finance Awards event.
Global Finance’s editors, with input from industry experts, selected the winners using a proprietary scoring system. This system takes into account multiple criteria, including market share, number and size of deals, client service, advisory excellence, innovation, and market reputation. Deals completed or announced in 2024 were evaluated to determine the winners.
