The release includes a gold coin and two silver coins, all of which honor this unique aspect of Croatian culture.
The collection consists of a gold coin, denominated at EUR 100, and two silver coins—one with a denomination of EUR 8 and another at EUR 4. The gold coin is issued in color, while both silver coins also feature vibrant color designs, adding to their artistic value. The designs for all three coins were created by Chiara Principe, a renowned artist whose work reflects a deep appreciation for Croatian folklore and tradition.
The Halubje Bell Ringers are a well-known and cherished carnival tradition in the Republic of Croatia, particularly in the town of Halubje in the northern part of the country. The EUR 8 and EUR 4 silver coins will be priced at about EUR 419.99 and EUR 79.99, respectively, including VAT. However, the final purchase prices will be subject to fluctuations in the market prices of gold and silver, meaning that the cost could change based on the prevailing values of these precious metals at the time of purchase.
The Croatian Mint will be the exclusive seller of the “Halubje Bell Ringers” collector coins, ensuring that those interested in acquiring these limited-edition items can do so directly from an official source. The coins will be available for purchase starting on February 18, 2025, marking an exciting moment for both coin collectors and those with a passion for Croatian culture and tradition.
