OzAurum Resources (ASX: OZM) has confirmed the presence of a significant high-grade gold zone at the New Cross Fault within its Mulgabbie North Gold Project, located in Western Australia. The company’s latest aircore (AC) drilling campaign has successfully identified a mineralised zone extending over 400 metres, marking an important milestone in its exploration efforts.
The recent drilling program, which included 32 holes over a total of 987 metres, has provided valuable data that will inform future reverse circulation (RC) drilling activities. Notable results from the program include 6 metres at 1.54 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 31 metres in hole MNOAC 757, and 4 metres at 1.66 g/t gold from 41 metres in hole MNOAC 755. These findings build on previous drilling results, which reported grades of up to 13.54 g/t gold, further validating the potential of the mineralised system, which remains open at depth and along strike.
The newly discovered gold zone is located approximately 1.3 kilometres south of earlier drilling, within the Relief Shear—an area well-known for its gold-bearing mineralisation. OzAurum has also identified additional fault offsets and quartz vein systems in the region, indicating further exploration opportunities.
Andrew Pumphrey, Managing Director of OzAurum, expressed confidence in the company’s exploration model. “The latest AC drilling results confirm our initial findings and demonstrate high-grade mineralisation across a 400-metre strike. We are excited to commence RC drilling soon to further investigate these promising targets,” he stated.
OzAurum is now preparing for follow-up RC and AC drilling, with plans to expand the mineralised footprint and assess the deposit’s potential scale as drilling rigs become available.
