New York gold futures closed down at $1,984.9 an ounce

On the New York Mercantile Exchange gold futures market, the most active June gold futures price fell by US$8.1 from the previous trading day to close at US$1984.9 an ounce, a decrease of 0.41%.

On the same day, the price of silver futures for July delivery rose 0.4 cents to close at $23.897 an ounce, an increase of 0.02%. The price of platinum futures for July delivery rose $15.7 to close at $1082.6 an ounce, an increase of 1.47%.
